Sentences best avoidedstrictly editorial

This is admittedly not quite the way I had thought to open my 2007 ruminations (hence the long delay), but ... "Nativity will transform wealth stratification through ways in which immigrants assimilate economically and culturally via accumulating wealth." Do we really need sentences —ergo, patterns of higher thinking— like this?
Just wondering.
