Deadlines do not go away, ever, no matter what the holiday. Since the beginning of the month beseiged by one thing or another, it's now time to brew eggnog. Of all things. Into the background in one fell swoop slip several manuscripts, a priority or two, and much care about any of it.
Cambridge has written. Syracuse has written. Sage has sent manuscripts.
Why any of us even pretend to be at all useful at the end of the year is quite beyond me. Christmas, Hanukkkah, Ramadan, Saturnalia, Kwanza. Pooh bah.
All this and a deadline regardless?
