Mohl

A great-grandmother (neé Mohl) wrote down that this and that were so. Too vaguely colorful a story to have much merit. Documents were scant. The only von Mohls to be found, which took some doing, were minor notables of the early 19th century. But then came a book compiled by one Dr. Eberhard von Georgii-Georgenau in Stuttgart in 1879. The notables, sons of a renowned Württemburg statesman, turn out to be cousins: Hugo the botanist, Robert the jurist, Julius the Oriental scholar, and young Moritz the politician. Their erstwhile elder cousin-once-removed Christian set off for America in 1832, possibly on a ship named the Baron von der Cappellan, was robbed, practiced law, lost a seal ring, traveled to Florida, and died in New York in the first half of 1850. His daughter married a Court the same year in the same city but moved on to Texas.
