Will of Anthoine DeBourdeaux's dated 19 January 1724/25. Probated 19 Feb 1725. "IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I, Anthony De Bourdeaux of Charles Town in South Carolina Joyner, being very sick and weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God; therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to dye, do make and order this my last will and testament, that is to Say, first and principally I recommend my soul to God that gave it, hoping to find mercy in his Sight, for the Sake of our Savior Jesus Christ, who dyd for my Sins, and hoping through his sufferings to Inherit everlasting Life; and my body I commit to th earth, to be decently burried at the discretion of my Executor or executors hereafter named, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive ye Same again. Through the mighty power of God and as touching Such Worldly Goods as God hath blefsed me within this life, I do Dispose of them after the following manner, Item: My will is that all my debts which I have contracted left yet unpaid, be Satisfied and paid out of Such goods as by right belong to me and ____ I have in my Actual pofsession in a due and convenient time after my decease by my Exors. Item, I Name Marianna my wife for my Sole Extrix to administer upon my Estate real and Personall, after Such a manner as may prove without detriment to my Children. Item, I will that the said Marianna my wife Shall get her third out of what shall remain of the Estate after the payment of my debts abovementioned and the remaining part of the said Estate shall be equally divided amongst my four Children. ___ Marianna my wife should be found with child after my decease then the Child so born of my ___ shall have an equal share with the rest. And I do hereby disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other former last Will and Testament and all legacys, bequests and executors by me in any ways before this ___ ____ Will. In witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal."

Anthony DeBourdeaux carpenter and Marian, his wife, to Will Gibson, merchant, all of Charleston for 253 pounds SC money, 587 acres in Berkley Co., bounding NC on Mr. Akins, S on William North, SE on John Fogartie, NE on Donoman. should Debordeaux pay Gibson on 1May 1723 this mortage to be void. James DeBourdeaux paid 480 pounds SC money in full to R. How.
