All this is a bit sketchy. The first three generations come from a mysterious unanswered letter from E.E. Court to A.B. Court in 1910 and coincidental confirmation by email from Gunter Sahler to Glenn Court in 2007. E.E. Court is buried in Washington DC. Sahler is a historian in Lindlar [Germany, near Koeln], whence Carl Court in 1848 or thereabouts.

Married first in Germany, left children there with his family. Married second Christianna Fredericka Louisa Mohl on October 1, 1850 in New York.
